For those who have not already heard of Coboby… THIS is Coboby. He is a very strange anglerfish, a spectacle to all who encounter him. He's what some consider to be an interdimensional being, a deity if you will. The reality is, he's just a fish! About 70% of his personality is the word "fish."

He was hatched in the Puerto Rico trench like any other anglerfish. Eventually, he will rise to the surface and assert himself, but for now, all you need to know is that he exists. This is a slide of a storyboard for his animated backstory episode!

Coboby is my favorite character I've ever made and it seems like almost everyone I've shown him to likes him as well. Me and my friend came up with a funny idea in a voice call we had in the middle of the night… An "evil" version of Coboby named Bacoby that was red instead of blue, and instead of eating fish, he eats cats. We ended up creating 4 different versions of him.

You might be wondering, "Why are there so many arrows? What's with the circle?" Well the reasoning behind it was to emphasize the fact that the one on the left is the REAL Coboby. We wouldn't want people to be confused, right? My headcanon for these little guys is that they WOULD HAVE been Coboby's siblings if it weren't for the scarcity of food in the deep ocean. He ate them before they had the chance to hatch.

In Coboby's origin story episode, we will also witness some other characters existing in the same place. There's an event happening, the grand opening of…. The hotel on mars. Not sure how I'm going to name it yet. The best part about the spaceship is that it's inspired by the Among Us lobby, so it feels like the passengers are about to go on the Skeld, but they are not. Everybody loves the hotel on mars idea, including Coboby, who will be there because of plot reasons.
